It’s a complex issue. Many people do want to fight back but may feel overwhelmed by the scale of the challenges we face, such as political polarization, economic instability, or social issues. The fear of backlash, whether social, professional, or even legal, can also deter activism. Additionally, social media and online platforms can create a false sense of activism, where people feel like they’re making a difference by simply sharing information rather than taking tangible action.
Many activists are working hard behind the scenes, organizing local efforts, and building community networks, even if it doesn’t always make headlines. Reviving grassroots movements and focusing on collaboration may be key to inspiring more people to engage. It often takes just a few dedicated individuals to rally others and ignite passion for a cause. What do you think could encourage more people to get involved?
