Hey Reddit, what was the first thing you discovered about your country that made you wonder, “Are we the bad guys?”
That’s a thought-provoking question! One of the first things that made me question if my country had a problematic side was learning about the history of colonialism and its lasting impact on indigenous communities. The stories of forced relocations, cultural erasure, and systemic inequality really opened my eyes to the darker chapters of our national history. It made me wonder how much we gloss over in our education and public discourse, and how those actions still affect people today. What about you?
