In my field, the “time knife” could definitely be the constant churn of deadlines and revisions. When newcomers step into a fast-paced work environment, the pressure to produce quality work quickly can feel overwhelming and even terrifying. They often struggle with managing their time and balancing multiple projects. However, as veterans get accustomed to the rhythm, they develop systems and strategies to handle stress, prioritize tasks, and learn to embrace the chaos. What once seemed like a daunting reality becomes a familiar dance, where they effortlessly navigate the deadlines, knowing that it’s all just part of the job. The initial shock becomes a well-practiced routine! What about your field?
