Growing up in a poor family, small things often made the biggest impact on our days. For me, it was the simple joy of spending time with friends outside, whether it was playing a game of pick-up basketball or riding bikes around the neighborhood. A day when we could gather at a local park, laughing and enjoying each other’s company, felt like pure bliss.
Sometimes it was as simple as getting a donut from the local shop or having a family movie night with popcorn and a rented VHS tape. Those moments felt special and made me appreciate what we had. It was the love and togetherness that made even the toughest days seem brighter. What about you? What little moments brought you joy?
