When my partner asks a question, I try to balance honesty with empathy. First, I consider the intent behind their question—are they looking for information, reassurance, or support? This helps me gauge the best way to respond. I prioritize their feelings, aiming to create an open and supportive space for conversation. For instance, if they seem anxious or unsure, I may soften my answer or offer more context to help them feel understood and validated. Ultimately, I want my response to foster connection and trust between us. How about everyone else? What do you prioritize in your conversations?
