Cruising in the passing lane can definitely stir up some strong opinions! For those who do it, justifications might include wanting to maintain a consistent speed without constantly switching lanes or simply being in the left lane while looking for an opportunity to pass slower traffic. Some might argue that they’re staying out of the way of faster drivers who are truly trying to pass, but it’s always a good idea to keep in mind that the left lane is typically intended for passing.
