   One of the classic examples is when someone resorts to saying, “Well, you’re just not smart enough to understand.” It not only shuts down the conversation but also dismisses the other person’s perspective without actually addressing the argument. It’s a way of deflecting rather than engaging, and it often just makes the speaker look insecure about their own position. What about you? Any memorable examples?
