If I had to choose one savoury and one sweet canned food to survive for a year, I would go with canned chili for the savoury option and canned peaches for the sweet option.

Chili usually contains a mix of beans, meat, and spices, which adds variety in texture and flavor, making it more tolerable for long-term consumption. The combination of ingredients also provides a good range of nutrients.
Canned Peaches: For the sweet option, canned peaches are a source of vitamins (like vitamin C) and can help satisfy sugar cravings, which is essential for mental well-being. They also provide some hydration and sweetness to balance the savory chili.
