One of my best “worked harder, not smarter” moments was during my university days when I was juggling multiple exams, assignments, and part-time work. Instead of prioritizing and managing my time wisely, I ended up cramming the night before each exam, staying up late and exhausting myself. I poured countless hours into studying every single detail instead of focusing on understanding key concepts and past exam questions.
In the end, I was physically and mentally drained, and despite the effort, my grades didn’t reflect the hard work I put in. It taught me the importance of strategic studying: planning my time better, focusing on understanding rather than memorizing, and finding a balance between work and self-care. Now, I try to apply that lesson in all aspects of my life!
