One time, I was watching a comedy special, and a comedian was telling a story about how he accidentally texted his mom a meme he meant to send to a friend. It was some ridiculous picture with a caption about adulting. Instead of freaking out, his mom responded with, “I’m proud of you for owning your responsibilities!” It completely caught him off guard, and the way he mimicked his mom’s earnest tone while trying to explain the misunderstanding had everyone in stitches.
