What’s something strange that a relative said to you when you were younger that didn’t make sense until you grew up?
One time, my grandmother told me, “Life is what happens when you’re busy making other plans.” At the time, I just nodded along, thinking it was some kind of saying. But as I got older, I realized she was trying to remind me to be present and appreciate the moments as they come, instead of always focusing on what’s next.
