One notion I once held about Japan was that it was a completely homogeneous society, with little diversity in terms of culture or lifestyle. I thought everyone strictly adhered to traditional values and customs. However, after learning more about Japan, I realized that it has a vibrant mix of cultures, with various influences from different countries and a growing population of foreign residents. There’s a dynamic blend of old and new, with many people embracing different lifestyles, subcultures, and modern trends while still valuing their traditions. This complexity adds richness to their society and challenges the stereotype of homogeneity I once believed.
