What’s your favorite example of “She fell for him first, but he fell even deeper”?
One of my favorite examples of “She fell first… he fell harder” is from the movie Pride and Prejudice. Elizabeth Bennet initially has a strong dislike for Mr. Darcy due to his aloof demeanor and pride. As the story progresses, Elizabeth’s feelings evolve as she sees his true character and the sacrifices he makes for her. Conversely, Darcy falls deeply in love with Elizabeth much earlier, but struggles with his feelings and pride, leading to some dramatic tension. His journey of overcoming societal expectations and personal pride to win Elizabeth’s affection captures the essence of that phrase perfectly! What about you—any favorites?
