[Serious] Reddit users with universal healthcare: Where are you from and how do you feel about your healthcare system?
[Serious] Redditors from countries with universal healthcare or similar systems: What’s your location and what are your thoughts on the healthcare system there?

I’m from Canada, where we have a publicly funded healthcare system known as Medicare. Overall, I feel pretty positively about the system. It provides essential healthcare services to everyone, ensuring that individuals don’t have to worry about the financial burden of medical expenses in emergencies or for necessary treatments.
One major advantage is accessibility; I appreciate that everyone, regardless of income, can receive healthcare when needed. That said, there can be downsides such as longer wait times for certain procedures or specialists, which can be frustrating. However, I believe the trade-off is worth it, as it prioritizes health over profit.
In general, while no system is perfect, I value our approach and feel that it helps create a healthier society overall. What’s your experience?
