It’s a tricky situation, but here’s what I’d do: I’d gently shift the cat to a cozy spot nearby, making sure they’re comfortable before getting up. Then I’d quickly take the dog out for a walk. Hopefully, the cat won’t mind too much, and I can give them some extra cuddles when I’m back! What about you?
