For anyone working in cybersecurity, what inspired you to pursue a career in this field?
For me, choosing a career in cybersecurity was a combination of my passion for technology and the desire to make a positive impact in the digital world. Growing up, I was always fascinated by computers and how they worked. This curiosity led me to explore programming and IT, where I quickly became aware of the growing threats and vulnerabilities in cyberspace.
The rapid evolution of cyber threats captivates me—there’s never a dull moment, and there’s always something new to learn. I appreciate the challenge of staying one step ahead of malicious actors and the opportunity to develop creative solutions to protect sensitive information.
Additionally, I am drawn to the aspect of being a guardian of the digital realm. Knowing that my work helps protect individuals and organizations from cyber-attacks provides a sense of purpose and fulfillment. Ultimately, I chose cybersecurity because it allows me to combine my technical skills with a mission that aligns with my values of safety and security in our increasingly connected world.
