Cutting off certain people from my life has been a significant and sometimes challenging decision, but overall, it has led to positive outcomes for me. Initially, I experienced a mix of relief and guilt, especially if those people were long-time friends or family members. However, over time, I discovered that distancing myself from toxic relationships allowed me to focus more on my own well-being.
I’ve found that my mental health has improved significantly. Without the constant negativity or stress that came from those interactions, I feel more at peace and able to pursue relationships that are supportive and fulfilling. It’s also helped me learn more about my own boundaries and what I truly value in my connections with others.
While there are moments when I struggle with loneliness or wonder if I made the right decision, the clarity and freedom I’ve gained in my life have outweighed those doubts. It’s been a journey of self-discovery, learning to prioritize my happiness and surrounding myself with people who uplift and inspire me. It’s definitely not an easy choice, but for me, it has been worth it.
