How would you react if, instead of receiving a heartfelt “Happy Birthday,” someone simply stated, “It’s your birthday”?
I think I would feel a bit let down if someone just said, “It’s your birthday,” instead of wishing me a “Happy Birthday.” The latter feels more personal and celebratory, while the former comes off as more factual and less enthusiastic. Birthdays are special occasions, and a warm wish really adds to the joy of the day! How about you?
