If you could only criticize things that are of lower quality than what you can create, what would you feel comfortable calling out?
It’s an interesting thought experiment! I think I could comfortably criticize things that are poorly executed or lack effort, even if they aren’t the best examples of the craft. For instance, I might critique certain popular movies or shows that rely heavily on clichés or poor storytelling, as I believe storytelling is an art that deserves real creativity and originality. Even if my own work isn’t perfect, I can still recognize when something is lacking in those fundamental areas. What about you? What do you think you could critique?
