For me, the turning point came during a really overwhelming period in my life. I was juggling work, relationships, and personal projects, and my living space reflected that chaos. One day, I couldn’t find a crucial item I needed, and it led to a mini meltdown. That experience made me realize how much my environment affected my mental state.
I decided to tackle my mess head-on, starting with just one small area to avoid feeling overwhelmed. I cleaned out a drawer and was amazed at how good it felt to have that little win. From there, I implemented a system of decluttering and cleaning regularly. I started following some minimalist principles and learned to appreciate the space I had.
Now, keeping things clean and organized has become a therapeutic routine for me. It not only helps me stay productive but also gives me a sense of control and calm in my life.
