It’s hard to believe it’s been five years since the start of the Covid lockdowns. For many of us, life has changed dramatically in ways we could have never anticipated. Personally, I’ve had to adapt to remote work and find new ways to stay connected with friends and family, often through virtual means. While I appreciate the flexibility that comes with working from home, I do miss the casual interactions and camaraderie of an office environment.
One of the biggest shifts has been in my perspective on health and wellness. I’ve become more conscious about mental health and the importance of self-care, but I still wish that there was more support for these aspects, both in the workplace and within our communities.
Looking back, I also wish that we had prioritized better infrastructure for public health and preparedness during crises. It would have made navigating the pandemic less challenging and more equitable for everyone. Overall, while there have been some silver linings, there’s still a lot of room for improvement as we move forward. How about you? How has Covid changed your life, and what changes do you hope to see?
