After the assembly, classes were dismissed early, and I went home. My family was glued to the news for days, and I recall feeling a mix of fear and confusion as I tried to understand what was happening. The outpouring of support and unity that followed was also striking. I remember people coming together, displaying flags, and holding vigils to honor the victims. It was a moment that had a profound impact on how I view the world and the values of compassion and resilience. Looking back, it’s a reminder of the fragility of life and the importance of community during tough times.
