There are definitely a few experiences from my younger years that I’d prefer my kids to avoid. For one, I wish they wouldn’t have to deal with the pressure of fitting in or the overwhelming influence of social media on self-esteem. I’ve learned that it’s important to prioritize genuine relationships over popularity.
Another aspect is the tendency to make impulsive decisions without fully considering the consequences. I want to guide my kids to think critically and reflect before acting. Additionally, I’d like to protect them from some of the risky behaviors I engaged in, like underage drinking or skipping school. It’s all about helping them make informed choices. Ultimately, I hope to give them a supportive environment where they can learn and grow while avoiding some of the pitfalls I encountered. What about you? What experiences do you hope to shield your kids from?
