Here are some of my favorite questions to help break the ice: “What’s something you’re really passionate about?” – This opens up a conversation about their interests and can lead to engaging discussions. “If you could travel anywhere right now, where would you go and why?” – Travel often uncovers shared interests and stories. “What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever received?” – This invites personal sharing and can lead to meaningful conversation. “What’s your go-to way to unwind after a busy day?” – This helps you understand their lifestyle and values. “Have you read or watched anything interesting lately?” – This can lead to topics about books, movies, or shows you might both enjoy. “What’s your favorite way to spend a weekend?” – This gives insight into their personal life and may reveal common activities. “If you could learn any skill instantly, what would it be?” – This encourages them to share their aspirations and dreams. “What’s a hidden gem in your hometown that you love?” – This can spark conversation about local culture and experiences.
