I’ve had a few strange experiences on the Metro, but one that stands out was when I got on a train and noticed a guy in full pirate attire. He had a tricorn hat, an eye patch, and even a toy parrot on his shoulder! At first, I thought it was some kind of themed event or performance, but he was just sitting there, looking around seriously like it was a regular day. People were trying to be discreet but couldn’t help stealing glances. The oddest part was when he suddenly stood up and started speaking in a pirate accent, telling us to “avast ye” while declaring it was “Talk Like a Pirate Day.” Since nobody seemed to know him, it felt like we had all stepped into some bizarre improv scene. It definitely made my commute memorable!
