What TV show or movie did you initially think would be for kids but turned out to be something else entirely?
One movie that comes to mind is “The Iron Giant.” When I first heard about it as a kid, I thought it was going to be a lighthearted animated film about a giant robot. However, the themes of friendship, fear, and sacrifice made it much deeper and more emotional than I expected. It tackles some heavy issues, such as the fear of the unknown and the consequences of war, which is certainly not typical of what you’d expect from a kids’ movie. What about you? Any surprises like that?
