What’s the most significant comment you believed would be successful but ultimately flopped?
One time, I tried to make a playful joke in a group chat about a mutual friend’s obsession with coffee, saying something like, “You drink so much coffee, I’m surprised you’re not from Seattle!” I expected everyone to chuckle, but instead, it fell flat, and the friend took it a bit personally.
