One time, I convinced a friend that there was a rare breed of dog called a “blue-striped watermelon dog” that could only be found in a remote part of the Amazon rainforest. I went into detail about its unique diet of fruit and the fact that it supposedly had a calming effect on people. I even showed them some creatively edited photos! He was completely taken in until I finally revealed the truth—he couldn’t stop laughing at how gullible he’d been! It’s a good reminder of how powerful a good story can be!
