What’s the most unexpected or unusual way you’ve connected with a close friend or partner?
One of the weirdest ways I met a close friend was at a local pet adoption event. I was just there to support a friend looking for a dog, but while I was perusing the various animals, I accidentally knocked over a display of pet supplies! Embarrassed, I started picking things up, and this woman came over to help me. We ended up laughing about the whole situation, bonding over our mutual love for dogs, and realized we had a lot in common. We exchanged numbers, and now we’re inseparable! It’s funny to think that a clumsy moment led to such a great friendship!
As for a significant other, we met in a rather unusual way too—through a community art class where we were both totally distracted by our mutual dislike of the instructor’s technique! We ended up chatting during breaks and bonding over our shared critiques. Who knew that critiquing someone else’s art would lead to a beautiful relationship? What about you?
