What’s the most misguided advice you’ve ever gotten from someone older who didn’t really know better?
One of the worst pieces of advice I received from an older family member was to always prioritize job security over personal happiness. They insisted that staying in a stable but unfulfilling job was the way to build a successful life. However, I later realized that pursuing my passions and finding fulfillment in my work was far more rewarding than simply clocking in for a paycheck. Following that advice led to years of dissatisfaction and I learned that taking risks for my happiness was worth it. Sometimes, wisdom comes from experience, not just age!
