When you’re in the kitchen and realize you should be using a better knife, do you stick with the less-than-ideal one, or do you opt for the superior knife and incur a bit more cleanup?

It really depends on the situation! If it’s just a minor task, I might stick with the subpar knife to save time and avoid extra cleanup. But if I’m working on something that requires precision or could turn out badly with the wrong tool, I’ll definitely pause and grab the better knife. Sometimes a little extra washing is worth it for the quality of the final dish! How about you?
