Hey Reddit, restaurant servers in the U.S., what are your thoughts on people who don’t leave tips for To-Go orders?
As a server, I understand that not everyone thinks to tip on ToGo orders since they might not perceive it as requiring the same level of service as dining in. However, it’s worth considering that a lot of work goes into preparing those orders, packaging them up, and ensuring accuracy before they go out. Even if it’s a smaller effort compared to full-service dining, tips help compensate for the time and care put into every order. It’s definitely appreciated when people recognize that! What are your thoughts on this?
