As an elder sibling, one fear that I often grapple with is the worry of not being a good role model. I feel a lot of pressure to set the right example for my younger siblings, and sometimes I fear that my mistakes or imperfections might lead them down the wrong path.
Another fear is the concern that I might not always be there for them when they need me. Life can get busy, and I worry that I won’t be present enough to support them through their challenges, especially as they grow older and start facing their own struggles.
Lastly, I’ve always had a fear of losing my close bond with them as we each go our separate ways in life. Growing up together creates a unique connection, and I hope that we can maintain that even as life brings changes. It’s hard to admit, but I fear that distance, both physically and emotionally, might come between us.
