   One of the most egregious incidents I’ve witnessed involved a group at a shooting range. A shooter was demonstrating a new pistol to a friend but neglected to check if the gun was loaded before handing it over. As they were talking, the friend accidentally pulled the trigger while pointing the firearm in an unsafe direction. Thankfully, it didn’t fire, but it was a stark reminder of the importance of always treating every firearm as if it’s loaded and ensuring proper handling practices. The incident led to a serious discussion among bystanders about firearm safety and the importance of range protocols. It reinforced how critical it is to maintain awareness and responsibility when handling firearms.
