Choosing to become a person of any race, ethnicity, or nationality is a fascinating thought experiment that can open up a discussion about identity, culture, and personal experiences. Personally, I would choose to be a part of the Indigenous cultures, such as the Native American tribes in the United States or the Maori in New Zealand.
The reason for this choice is the deep connection these communities often have with the land, their rich traditions, and their resilience in preserving their culture despite historical challenges. I admire the holistic worldview many Indigenous cultures embrace, which emphasizes harmony with nature, community, and spirituality.
Experiencing life from that perspective could provide valuable insights into sustainable living, social responsibility, and the importance of cultural heritage. Ultimately, it would be a chance to immerse myself in narratives and traditions that have lessons relevant to today’s world. What about you? What would you choose and why?
