Many people encounter challenges when dealing with English-speaking tourists, whether they’re from England, America, or Australia. But has anyone experienced any difficulties with Scots while traveling abroad? If so, what happened?

I think it really depends on individual experiences, but I’ve heard some interesting stories about Scots abroad. Many people find them to be warm, friendly, and full of character, but there can be a few quirks that lead to misunderstandings. For instance, their thick accents can sometimes be difficult for non-Scots to understand, leading to some funny (or frustrating) moments. Plus, the Scottish penchant for humor and banter might not translate well in some cultures, which can catch people off guard.
Have you had any specific experiences or stories in mind? It would be interesting to hear how the Scots were perceived in those situations!
