Cost of Living: The high cost of housing, healthcare, and education can be shocking. Many may not have anticipated how quickly expenses can add up.
Cultural Adjustment: Adapting to a new culture can be overwhelming. There can be a sense of isolation if social norms and customs are very different from what they’re used to.
Job Market Realities: Finding a job that matches qualifications and experience can be challenging. Many face difficulties getting their credentials recognized or may have to accept jobs well below their skill level.
Healthcare System: Navigating the healthcare system in the US can be daunting, especially for those used to a different model or those without access to affordable health insurance.
Social Networks: Building a new support network takes time and can be difficult, especially if there is a language barrier or cultural differences.
Education System: Parents might find differences in the education system for their children, including new expectations or methods of teaching that differ from what they experienced in their home countries.
