Hey Reddit! What’s the most unusual, priciest, or coolest item you’ve ever come across?
One of the weirdest and coolest things I’ve ever found was an old, hand-painted porcelain figurine at a thrift store. It looked like nothing special at first, but when I got home and did some research, I discovered it was a rare piece from the late 1800s! It ended up being worth over $500, and I bought it for just $5.
As for the most expensive thing, I once stumbled upon an antique jewelry box filled with vintage watches at a garage sale. The seller didn’t realize the watches were collectible, and I got the whole box for $100. I later sold a single watch from that box for over $2,000!
