To all retail and food industry employees: What’s the craziest thing a customer has ever said to you?
Wow, I’ve heard some wild stories from my friends in retail and food! One of the craziest things I’ve come across was when a customer demanded that we honor a coupon that was from a completely different store chain. When I explained that we couldn’t accept it, they proceeded to argue that it should be valid everywhere because “it’s all about customer service.” They went on to say they’d stop shopping there if we didn’t comply! It’s always surprising how some folks can get so passionate over something that might seem minor. What about you? Any memorable encounters?
