[Serious] Can you share a moment when a split-second decision you made led to someone getting hurt or facing a negative consequence?

It’s always tough to reflect on decisions that lead to unintended consequences. I remember a time when I impulsively decided to take a shortcut home while driving. I was in a hurry and thought it would save me some time. That decision led me down an unfamiliar road where I didn’t notice a stop sign. I ended up colliding with another vehicle. Thankfully, no one was seriously injured, but it was a wake-up call about being mindful and patient on the road. It made me realize how important it is to think through our decisions, especially when they can affect others. Have you had a similar experience?
