I remember one instance when I started a new job and was really intimidated by one of my colleagues. She had this strong presence and often seemed unapproachable. I hesitated to talk to her at first, but as I got to know her through team projects, I discovered she was incredibly supportive and had a great sense of humor.
Another example is when I joined a local sports club. There was a team leader who had a reputation for being tough and demanding. I was nervous to approach him, but once I did, I realized he was actually very passionate about helping everyone improve and was always ready to offer advice and encouragement.
It’s funny how sometimes our initial impressions can be so off the mark! What about you? Do you have any stories like that?
