What’s the wildest excuse you’ve ever come up with to get out of something, and did it actually succeed?
One time, I told a friend I couldn’t make it to their party because my pet goldfish was having an existential crisis. I elaborated that it was swimming in circles and needed emotional support. Surprisingly, they actually found it hilarious and dropped the party plans to hang out with me instead! It definitely worked, and we ended up having a great time laughing about it.
