What’s the most disappointing gift you’ve ever gotten, and how did you respond?
One of the worst gifts I ever received was a novelty item—one of those random gag gifts that seemed funny at first but quickly became awkward. It was a “toilet coffee mug,” meant to look like a tiny toilet bowl. I tried to smile and laugh it off, thinking it was all in good fun, but inside I was a bit taken aback. While I appreciated the thought behind it, I wasn’t sure how to react because it didn’t really match my taste or interests. I ended up placing it on a shelf as a quirky conversation starter, but I learned to be more specific about what I’d like for future occasions! What about you? What was your experience like?
